About Our School test
Tidemill Primary School is a highly successful, innovative and happy school in the heart of Deptford. We have over 30 languages spoken in the school and our children come from a rich variety of backgrounds. They are well behaved, eager to learn and are supported by a team of hard working, talented and dedicated staff.
Our pupils not only achieve excellent test results; among many other things they have been England football champions, performed Shakespeare with the National Theatre, sung opera at Blackheath Halls, sung gospel at the Royal Albert Hall, exhibited their art in West End galleries and been Lewisham tag-rugby champions.
Our vision for Tidemill is clear; we believe that our children must have the best possible education in order to improve their life chances. Our focus, therefore, is on a determined and relentless effort to raise standards.

Ofsted Report
We were delighted to receive a glowing report from Ofsted when they visited the school in June 2008:-
"Tidemill is an outstanding school. It provides a very high quality of education and level of care for its pupils. Pupils achieve very well in the school. Pupils feel part of and proud of their school, know that they are very well looked after and, as a result, they are very keen to learn and to do well. The leadership of the school is outstanding. The headteacher and staff work well as a team and share the common aim of providing the best for the pupils. Teaching and learning are outstanding because the overall high quality of teaching enables pupils to achieve so well.."
(Ofsted, June 2008)

Parent Feedback
Every year we ask our parents to give us feedback on how they feel the school is performing and whether they feel their children are making progress. In July 2010, the results were some of the best ever, with 100% of the 384 parents who took part in the survey saying their child enjoyed school, 99% saying teaching was good, 98% saying staff expected a lot of their child and helped to achieve their goals and 99% stating they felt the school was well-led and managed. We will be continuing to work hard over the coming year as we strive to get all these figures to 100%. Click here to see full details of the results of our survey.
Thank you for visiting our school website. We hope you enjoy finding out about our school and joining us in celebrating our pupils' many achievements.
